Taiese L. Nevels was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She grew up in the inner city of Cleveland where reality was framed in the struggle of bleakness. Nevels encountered a close brush with death at the age of 13, and looking for a fresh start she was forced to move to Houston, Texas with an aunt. Taiese got a new outlook on a successful life from watching her aunt’s hard work in Corporate America. She was motivated to pursue excellence. Determined to achieve success, in 2015 Nevels earned her MBA from Prairie View A&M University. Ten years prior, she earned her BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 2005. In between the years of Nevels two degrees, she placed Top 10 in a Natural Beauty Contest, acted in theater for four years in Houston, Texas for a playwright, established Nevels Publishing Company then published her first book “In Love – The Love Story of God’s Will for Us” and was certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
2017 is posed to be a great year for Nevels. She is launching her second book “The Woman’s Guide to Wisdom, Knowledge & Power” in March 24, 2017 in Houston, Texas.
“The overall theme of ‘The Woman’s Guide to Wisdom, Knowledge & Power’ is empowering women through self-reflection and collective experiences that nurture tenacious wisdom, knowledge and power set on a foundation of self-acknowledgement that as a woman you are beautiful, loved and God’s creation,” Nevels shares.
